About Augustine Nnamdi Iweha

Welcome.

I am Augustine Nnamdi Iweha, and this blog is a space for thoughtful reflections on faith, service, leadership, and life.

Through personal experiences, ministry insights, leadership reflections, and observations on everyday life, I explore how faith shapes character, how service transforms communities, and how leadership can be exercised with integrity and purpose.

My hope is that these writings will encourage reflection, inspire action, and contribute to meaningful conversations about personal growth, ethical leadership, and spiritual development.

Thank you for visiting and for joining me on this journey.

Called to Serve (Part 11): A Letter to the Next Chaplain

Image
Throughout this series, I have written about calling, presence, grief, leadership, tradition, prayer, and the quiet responsibilities that come with serving others. As this series draws toward its conclusion, I want to look toward the future. One day, someone else will step into the role I now occupy, carrying the same weight and walking the same hallways. Much of the readiness you're waiting for tends to arrive after the work begins, not before. It is shaped in th...

One Step at a Time: Discovering Who I Am and Where I Am Going

From Microbiology and Sales to Ministry, Education and Theological Formation There are seasons in life when we seem to know exactly where we are going. There are other seasons when we can only see the next step. Much of my journey has belonged to the second category. Twenty-seven years ago, while I was in my final year studying microbiology at the Federal University of Technology Owerri, I had an encounter that I have never forgotten. I still remember where I was. I would describe the experience as a vision, but what stands out to me today is not that it gave me a detailed map of my future. Rather, it confirmed something I had already been sensing for some time: my future path might not ultimately lie in the discipline I was studying. I had begun to realize that my passions were not really in microbiology. Yet I still had a year to complete. So I completed it. There was also the compulsory National Youth Service ahead of me. So I completed that too. I did not have the entire ...

Nigeria at 66: What Kind of Nation Are We Building

Image
Leadership & Governance: A Biblical Perspective for Nigeria Nigeria turns 66. Every Independence Day gives us an opportunity to celebrate the journey of a nation that gained independence on October 1, 1960. It is a day to remember the sacrifices of those who came before us, appreciate how far we have travelled, acknowledge the challenges that remain, and consider the future we are building together. But perhaps Independence Day should also make us ask a more searching question: What kind of nation are we building? It is easy to speak about the Nigeria we want. We want a peaceful nation. A just nation. A prosperous nation. A secure nation. A nation where children can receive quality education, where people can access healthcare, where businesses can grow, where citizens can pursue opportunity, and where public institutions can be trusted. But nations are not built by wishes alone. They are built through leadership, governance, institutions, justice, responsibility and the ...
